Seniorlink, Inc. Announces First Winner of “Thank You Caregiver Nation” Contest

Winner will receive free meals for a month from PeachDish, a nutritious meal delivery service

MARCH 2, 2017 – BOSTON – Seniorlink, Inc, a scalable care management solutions company, announced that Georgia resident Teri Defilippo has been selected as the first winner of the “Thank You Caregiver Nation” contest. Teri, a caregiver for over 15 years, cares for her sister with developmental disabilities and her mother with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was nominated for the contest by her friend Cheri, who is inspired by Teri’s commitment to her family.

As a company committed to supporting and honoring caregivers, Seniorlink launched the “Thank You Caregiver Nation” contest to recognize the tireless efforts of caregivers nationwide. Having received over 1,200 inspirational contest submissions from 47 states, Seniorlink will randomly select one caregiver each month through November 2017. Each winner will receive free meals for a month from PeachDish, a nutritious meal delivery service, in an effort to help alleviate the stress and burden of meal-planning and allow them to spend more time taking care of themselves and their loved ones at home.

“At Seniorlink, we are constantly inspired by the remarkable work caregivers do and are committed to providing them with the support they deserve,” said Tom Riley, CEO of Seniorlink, Inc. “This contest was born from the idea that caregivers deserve to be recognized for their commitment; we are moved by Teri’s story and by the 44 million caregivers in our nation like her.”

The “Thank You Caregiver Nation” contest launched in November 2016 in celebration of National Family Caregivers Month. To kick off the campaign, Seniorlink partnered with celebrity chef Tiffani Faison of Top Chef fame to surprise Vera Siciliano, a caregiver to her mother Evelyn, with a home-cooked barbeque meal.

“The love and kindness I witnessed in Vera’s family inspired me and lit my heart in a unique and lasting way,” said Tiffani. “I am so honored to have been able to get to know them a little and spend some time with them; Vera showed me that caregivers are truly everyday heroes.”
