Katherine Tardiff is the Director Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement at Seniorlink
Today, we at Seniorlink are extremely proud to announce that our subsidiary, Caregiver Homes, has received three-year accreditation for Case Management with Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) distinction from the NCQA, an independent non-profit organization whose accreditation program is a national standard for excellence in healthcare. NCQA’s Case Management Accreditation is a comprehensive, evidence-based program that evaluates the quality of case management programs in provider, payer and community-based organizations. Notably, Seniorlink is the first organization in the nation to receive the new LTSS distinction within Case Management Accreditation.
Countless hours of work were dedicated to preparing for the survey, and it’s only fitting that we pause and celebrate all who contributed. Far from being the responsibility of a few, this was an organization-wide effort. Contributions came from dozens of people across a number of departments, including from Operations, Clinical Operations, Compliance, Data & Analytics, and People & Culture; from my colleagues at the Center for Clinical Excellence; and of course from the care teams themselves – and that’s just the beginning. Accreditation is a top priority of our leadership, and their support was integral to our success.
NCQA’s review was holistic and rigorous – it wasn’t just a review of our administrative processes, but also directly addressed how our case management services are delivered. Our high scores serve as validation of our belief that Seniorlink is setting the standard for high quality care and transforming the way person-centered care can be coordinated for highly complex individuals. This is how we will help people age with grace and dignity in the community – where they prefer to receive their care.
We'd like to recognize that NCQA was a highly collaborative partner throughout this process, and we are grateful for their support along the way. Not only were we the first organization to be surveyed using the new LTSS standards, we are also the only provider to have been surveyed for Case Management with LTSS Distinction. Together with NCQA, we are blazing a trail for organizations like ours who wish to assure the market and collaborators that we provide the highest quality, person-centered case management for the most complex individuals while also applying the lens of LTSS distinction.
This accreditation is a demonstration of Seniorlink’s commitment to helping individuals with complex medical, behavioral and social needs remain in their desired setting – their home. We will celebrate this accomplishment, but very soon we will be back to work, taking the feedback from NCQA to continue to improve our program and services and remain on the forefront of high-quality care in the LTSS space.
